World owners can now promote their approved MUD or BYOND listing through Mudhaven’s rotating homepage advertising banner.
How to Access Advertising
- Sign in to your Mudhaven account.
- Open your Dashboard.
- Go to the Worlds section.
- Find the approved world you want to advertise.
- Select Advertise or Manage Ad.

The advertising option only appears for approved world listings.
Banner Requirements
Every advertisement requires two versions of the artwork:
- Desktop banner: exactly 1600 × 240 pixels
- Mobile banner: exactly 800 × 400 pixels
- Accepted formats: JPG, PNG, or WebP
- Maximum file size: 2 MB per image
The desktop banner appears on larger screens, while the mobile version is automatically loaded on smaller screens.
Your uploaded artwork is the complete advertisement. Mudhaven does not place titles, descriptions, gradients, badges, or buttons over your image.
How the Banner Works
- The entire banner is clickable.
- Clicking it sends visitors to your approved Mudhaven world listing.
- Approved advertisements rotate on the homepage every five minutes.
- Eligible games receive turns in the rotation.
- Mudhaven records aggregate impressions and clicks.
- Mudhaven does not track individual visitors or store personal browsing history.
Submitting Your Advertisement
You will be asked to provide:
- Your desktop banner
- Your mobile banner
- A short headline for staff review
- A short tagline for staff review
- A banner action such as View World, Play Now, Learn More, or Connect Now
The headline, tagline, and action help staff review the advertisement, but they are not displayed over the uploaded artwork.
After submission, the advertisement enters the staff review queue. It will not appear publicly until it has been approved.
Updating an Existing Advertisement
You can return to Account → Worlds → Manage Ad whenever you want to upgrade your banners.
You may:
- Replace only the desktop banner
- Replace only the mobile banner
- Replace both banners
- Update the review headline or tagline
- Change the banner action
- Resubmit a revision after staff requests changes
If your advertisement is already approved, the current version remains live while staff reviews the upgraded version. Your existing advertisement will not disappear simply because you submitted new artwork.
Once the revision is approved, Mudhaven safely replaces the old advertisement with the upgraded version.
Review Decisions
Staff may:
- Approve the advertisement
- Request changes
- Reject the submission
- Pause an approved campaign
- Schedule when an advertisement begins or ends
If changes are requested, you will receive a notification with the staff note. You can edit the advertisement and resubmit it from the same management page.
Withdrawing an Advertisement
You may withdraw your advertisement from its management page.
Withdrawing permanently removes:
- The live advertisement
- Any pending revision
- Uploaded advertisement artwork
- Recorded impression and click totals
Withdrawing an advertisement does not remove or change your world listing.
